A learning disability influences the way a person learns, processes information and is able to communicate. This can affect everyday activities like household tasks, socialising and managing money.
Winchester Go LD believes that people should be treated as equals and given the same respect and opportunities as everyone else. That means full choice and control in their lives, such as where to live, work and socialise.
Living life to its full potential.
As a local charity we have a range of weekly and monthly activities and we provide information, signposting and skills workshops.
We respect and promote the rights of people with a learning disability and their families to speak up on issues both locally and nationally. We aim to raise awareness, change attitudes and influence policy.
We invite anyone with a learning disability to become members. Please be aware you must be living in the Winchester area and have a recognised learning disability. Please download our Application for Membership Form here or give us a call to discuss.
Membership is free, but donations are very welcome.
